COMMUNITY EDUCATION

The Aks Foundation Community Education Program is dedicated to creating safer, more informed, and more equitable communities through community education, trainings, workshops, and awareness initiatives. As an extension of our crisis line services, our education programs focus on prevention, early intervention, and empowering individuals with the knowledge to recognise, prevent, and respond to gender-based violence, domestic violence, child sexual abuse, and harassment.

Our expert trainers conduct interactive trainings and workshops across schools, colleges, corporates, community organisations, NGOs, and bastis, tailoring each session to the needs of the audience. We provide education on the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, child safety, consent, healthy relationships, prevention of sexual harassment at workplace (POSH), bystander intervention, gender equality, intimate partner violence, stalking, and legal rights.

Our corporate awareness programs help organisations build safer, more inclusive workplaces by strengthening awareness of the Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace Act (POSH), promoting respectful workplace culture, and supporting compliance through engaging learning experiences.

Whether delivered in schools, colleges, bastis, community centres, NGOs, or workplaces, our community educationprograms encourage open dialogue, challenge harmful social norms, and equip participants with practical tools to prevent violence, support survivors, and access help through the Aks crisis line. Every session is interactive, inclusive, and designed to create lasting behavioural change across diverse communities regardless of age, gender, or social background.
