What we are looking for

What's in it for you?

We are looking to hire a Crisis Line Lead to ensure smooth functioning of the Crisis Line and Counselling Centre, and build a strong NGO network within and outside Pune, for Aks Foundation.

  • Ensure that the Crisis Line is functioning at all times
  • Respond to any messages received directly on the Crisis Line
  • Identify prospective Crisis Line Volunteers (CL Volunteer)
  • Prepare training schedules and conduct training programs for CL Volunteers
  • Prepare training tools and materials (presentations, videos, etc) for the CL Volunteers
  • Collate and record training feedback from the CL Volunteers and improvise on trainings, if required
  • Prepare the monthly roster for the CL Volunteers and coordinate any shift swaps as required
  • Forward calls to the CL Volunteers as per the monthly roster
  • Liaise with the Legal team when required
  • Liaise with the Community Education Lead (CE Lead), Operations Head and Childline for any POCSO cases reported vide the Crisis Line or Community Education program
  • Ensure the smooth function of the Aks Counselling Centre
  • Meet with clients when they request for a personal meeting
  • Schedule and conduct face to face counselling sessions as requested by clients
  • Overlook the tasks of the Aks Crisis Line Interns
  • Monitor and keep the Crisis Line calls database updated
  • Update counselling follow up sheets regularly
  • Maintain utmost confidentiality on each case
  • Collate information and prepare quarterly reports for benefactors, the Executive Director or Board of Directors
  • Execute any task assigned by the Operations Head
  • Effectively demonstrating the mission, vision, and values of Aks Foundation on a daily basis

We are looking for a dynamic individual who will take ownership of the smooth functioning of the Crisis Line at Aks Foundation.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1 years experience (preferably with an NGO)
  • Proficient language skills - English & Hindi (Marathi would be an advantage) - spoken and written
  • Well versed in MS Office
  • Good presentation and organising skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Goal oriented and proactive
  • Team player
