Renu Bhardwaj

Renu was born and wedded to the Olive Green. She did her initial schooling in the
Presentation convent in Jammu and thereafter in St. Thomas High School, New
Delhi where she excelled in sports and dramatics. After graduating from Lady Sri
Ram College, New Delhi, she worked as an Air Hostess with Indian Air Lines.
As an Army Wife she took an active interest in the welfare of the families of serving
soldiers.
Now settled in Pune , she was an active member of an NGO, SIPME and attended
the conference CSW-64 (Commission on the Status of Women) at the UN HQ’s at
New York. At present she is involved with an NGO Saksham Stree Shakti Sanstha
which is empowering women from rural areas in the manufacture of bio-degradable
sanitary napkins.
